SCOUTS VISITED THE TOMB OF LIBERATOR KING

To mark the anniversary of the death of King Petar I Karađorđević, 16th of August in the Church of St. George a memorial service was held. Under the auspices of Palilula memorial was attended by a delegation of twelve scouts from unit "King Peter I". This base unit is the only reconnaissance boy scout unit in Serbia, which carries the name of the King Liberator.

Divine Liturgy with the memorial service was served by His Grace Bishop šumadijski g. Jovan with the clergy of Oplenac regency. After the Liturgy, with state honors, along with other dignitaries scouts laid flowers at the grave of King whose name they proudly wear. After laying flowers, scouts, together with members of the Foundation, visited the Church of St.George, Gallery in the house of King Peter I, Vinogradar house, winery and Royal Karadjordjevic quarters. On the road to Nis, scouts visited the Monastery of Manasija, where after a tour in the beautiful landscape around the monastery, they stopped for lunch.
